Using the ReCT-03b Compression Tester
(2nd generation RX-7 example)
Assemble the test components.
Remove both leading (lower) spark plugs.
Install spark plug hole adapter in rotor housing.
Attach transducer-quick coupler to the adapter.
Remove EGI fuse.

Connect transducer cable to enclosure. Connect USB cable to enclosure and computer. Connect power cord to enclosure and battery. |
Launch DATAQ Instruments Hardware Manager--Start Windaq.
Configure Instruments Manager per user manual.
Configuration set.
To start test--Select File>Record.
Name file and click Open.
Set maximum file size and/or record time, click OK to start recording.
Crank the engine for about 5 sec. with gas pedal depressed. Engine should be warm.
Select File>Exit to save the data file and complete the test.
Launch WinDaq Waveform Browser to view and extract data.
